Well, we're certainly in a hot spell. It's only in the high 80's, but the humidity is such that it seems a whole lot hotter. A big thunderstorm just blew through and even though my cats are still upset about the noise they produce, the rain was very welcome and the hope remains that one of the after effects of the storm will be cooler and/or dryer air.
Meanwhile, the knowledge that I'm on my way to beautiful seaside Magnolia keeps me cheerful!
